With Mayor Tim Rogers stepping into his newly elected position as Supervisor of the Town of New Paltz on January 1, 2026, the Village board of Trustees are tasked with filling that vacancy. We seek applications from Village residents who love where we live and wish to step up in this unique opportunity to serve the public.

To be considered for the Mayoral appointment, please submit a resume, or similar document outlining any relevant professional experiences, and a cover letter, to vb@villageofnewpaltz.gov no later than 5:00pm on Friday, January 30, 2026.

Your cover letter should address the following: 1) What skills, experiences, interests, and ideas make you most qualified to be our village’s next mayor? 2) What are the top three things you’d do if appointed? and 3) What is your ideal time commitment, and if appointed, would you be able to hit the ground running immediately / what does hitting the ground running immediately look like to you?
