Playground is CLOSED until further notice.

Park is NOT OPEN for regular play or congregating.

Individuals may and should take walks outside but they should not play in the playground or gather in close proximity to each other in the park. 1 – NPMS PTA COVID19 School Closure Volunteer Recruitment
The NPMS PTA firmly supports the closure of our schools during this time. However, we also recognize the hardship this may cause for families in our community. With that in mind, we are helping to collect names & contact information of those available to assist.

If you believe you will be able to help and are NOT in a high risk category, and are NOT living with or have regular exposure to someone in a high risk category, please consider adding your name. We are hoping to collect a robust list of volunteers and strongly encourage our High School & Middle School students to consider signing up as well.

3/12/20 COVID-19: Update #8

As of now, the Village of New Paltz has not had any confirmed cases of COVID-19. However, we are working to take precautionary measures to protect the public.  We are speaking regularly with Ulster County and NYS Department of Health to get up-to-date information and will be posting anything new to our website and Facebook page.

Following conversations with the County and DOH, in an effort to limit exposure, we are suspending all in-person meetings and public gatherings for all “Advisory” and “Ad Hoc” volunteer Boards and Committees over the next 30 days. However, business-essential Boards that function according to timetables mandated by New York State and are governed by public notice requirements will continue to function as normal unless otherwise noticed. These include:

  • Village Board
  • Planning Board
  • Zoning Board of Appeals

Other boards and committees may continue to meet via phone conference, email, or in small groups in non-public places at their discretion while following CDC guidelines for social distancing.

As always, feel free to contact our Clerk’s Office with any questions at 845-255-0130.
